The posts who sit at the popular kids’ table.

After combing through this year’s archives, I’ve looted out the bits and bobs that seemed to draw the most attention from regular readers. Here they are, in one tidy post! Just in case you felt like re-living your high school nightmare and wanted to rub elbows with some popular posts.

My Day Zero/Happiness Project: 101 in 1001

“My Commandments”, a la Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project.
“In Defense of My City,” a love song to Austin, Texas.
“Hello, folks; a cheerful wave from far away,” a creative update from a coffee house.
“The Search for an Authentic Self,” in which I go exploring.
“Feminism and a Big, Uncomfortable Word,” a reverie on feminism and Inga Muscio.

Two of the most popular posts of the year were sets of photographs:

The first of the two, “Changes.”
Today I stood on the top of the world and had a religious experience.”

The second of the two, “Street Culture.”
“Here’s some awesome Austin-original street art we captured next to the Mexic-Arte Museum.”

Hope you all enjoy! If something got left out that perhaps you really savored early this year, let me know. I’m reading through my archives and would love to know what content subscribers truly prefer to read.
