Commandments.
Part of The Happiness Project’s philosophy is trying to determine one’s rules for cultivating a meaningful lifestyle, or “life ideology,” if you will. Gretchen’s first assignment involves making a list of commandments for herself that echo her real beliefs. Even before I read her book, this was an item on my 101 in 1001 (number nine, if you’re really interested). With much aid from her book, and Gretchen besides, I was finally able to come up with mine:
- Be Kayla.
- Everything in perspective.
- Recognize need.
- Let it go.
- Remember love.
- Keep a contented heart.
- “Keep in the sunlight.”
